That's My World - Where I Vote

I will be voting in the U.S. presidential election on Tuesday, November 4, in the community center pictured above which is in my neighborhood and serves my precinct in Wake County (North Carolina). The door I will enter to vote for Barack Obama to serve as the next President of the U.S. is visible near the bottom left hand side of the photo. I will also be voting on who I want for many other positions. There is a guide to statewide elections , and to Wake County Elections online. If you follow the links you get an inkling of how many decisions I will be making in my part of the world. I took the shot above today (Monday) but tomorrow the picnic area, parking lot, and sidewalk leading to the polling station will probably be filled with people. I certainly hope so. I think a big voter turn out would be good for my country.

The benches are inviting one to relax and enjoy the beautiful colors of autumn. Voting or not, I'd enjoy this place, but I don't vote so I'll just enjoy the scene =D

Good luck x millions with the voting. Votings always are so tough, even if you know who to vote for. It's too important.

That surely is a very beautiful voting spot!

Our polling place is right next door to our house so I don't have far to go. Fingers crossed our candidate is chosen to take us to a better tomorrow. Like you we have some ballot questions to decide as well.

What a lovely setting! I voted early because I DO expect a large voter turnout (and long lines)! Of course I always have expected a large turnout, and have always been disappointed. I hope tomorrow will be different!

Perfect post for this week! The location reminds me of the boy scout club house where I voted in Virginia.
