That's My World Tuesday: Coming on Christmas

It's coming on Christmas - They're cutting down trees - They're putting up reindeer - And singing songs of joy and peace - Oh I wish I had a river I could skate away on . . . From River by Joni Mitchell

Photobucket

The shot above was taken in November of 2009. The shot below was taken in March of 2009. We actually had a tiny bit of snow over the weekend but it didn't amount to much so my seasonal shots are from the beginning of the year. All the photographs were taken in the NC piedmont where I live.

Photobucket

The last shot was taken in January of 2009.

I started with Joni's song River because I can't stop singing it. It's not like the song is about Christmas, it's not. But since I can't stop singing it, I'll end with some more of it.

I wish I had a river so long - I would teach my feet to fly - Oh I wish I had a river - I could skate away on

I need to search this song on youtube, I bet it's wonderful!
Thanks so much, this post brings happiness in this special Holiday week!
Also loved that cute squirrel in your header, I can see that last January had lots of snow there.
Here is snowing and I'm happy for this new moment in my life.
***But girl, I had a weird experience right now because I had to put the "garbage - that little container" - outside and I had almost to "climb" the garage's path! What a mess! :) LOL
God bless you
Léia

Yeah, can you believe it actually snowed twice here last year? I guess we used up our allotment already. Greensboro got hit pretty good though from what my son tells me.

Lovely pictures! We have now got more snow than ever before. I´m now really happy to have a car with 4-wheel drive.
I agree, Carver ... I wish I could teach my feet to fly now....

Oh I love that song, glad you featured it here. We have a little bit of a drizzle, okay a bit more than a drizzle, so it's grey and cloudy and gloomy. Happy Christmas.

Ah yez ... one of my favorite Joni Mitchell songs ... I remember it well and may be humming it to myself indefinitely now. Loved your header photo and the Wordless Wednesday one today. I shared My World later than usual this week due to Christmas 'stuph' and am playing 'catch up' today ... Wishing you and yours a joyous holiday ;-)
Hugs and blessings,
