Our World Tuesday: Cow Parade NC

When I was having lunch out on Sunday, I discovered that CowParade NC was exhibiting some of their cows at North Hills in Raleigh, NC. I took the opportunity to take some quick shots of some of them.

After the NC CowParade is finished showing the cows, they will be auctioned off with the proceeds going the the NC Children's Hospital at UNC. The Cows are currently being shown in a variety of places in Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, NC.  I got the information for this post from the NC Cow Parade web site.

These are great. A number of years back there was a cow parade in Richmond, too. I need to find my picture of us in front of one of them. They are so colorful and fun to view. genie

Didn't know the history of Cow Parade, Carver. This was a great collection of photos, too!

When I lived in Buffalo, they did "Herd About Buffalo," using bison.

Here in Wisconsin, they did one about horses, but I cannot find out why or wherefore... but a couple at our church embellish horse at the coffee shop we all frequent by season. Mardi Gras beads, etc.! Peace, Amy
