After they finished I realized they were putting in a new culvert which I photographed in the first shot. The second shot is of another culvert.

impressionnant comment ce pont peut rejeter l'eau
When I was five, I was at a zoo and started following the culverts. My parents thought I was lost. *I* knew where I was!

A sort of before... and after (albeit different culverts!).
Great "C" word (I have to admit I did not know what they were called). I love learning new words and never disappoint me!
Have a great week.
Cleverly captured! :)
Oh, that's a very interesting picture.
Interesting article.
I send greetings.
Lucia
This is a word that's not used very often. I think you posted a first for ABC Wednesday.
Nice pictures too.
Learned something new...didn't know that's what they were called.
Really nice photos.
You have clever eyes, great choice for the letter and your pictures are great!
Léia
The second photo is very beautiful, - nice practical object, culverts.
i almost posted culvert, too.
i like the word.:p
Wonder what it'd be like to go through them...is it possible to be drowned inside?

I really like the reflection in the second photo.
I learned a new word today. Thanks.
An interesting picture, and word.
Good vocabulary lesson for your class today! I'd forgotten that's what those things are called. And interesting pictures.
Never knew this word till now, love the first shot.

Great choice of word! We have lots of Culverts around here for both water flow and as wildlife pathways as in "Coyotes love clear culverts!"
They look like a place hobbit-like creatures would live!
Never thought that these would be such a creative object for pictures !

I agree with Meryl - love your C word! Great find and great captures too!
wow! thank you for this,I didn't know it's called Culvert. :)
My ABC Wednesday
Great photos, Carver. I could almost smell the somewhat dank air near the culvers. My dad was an engineer, so I knew the difference between a culvert and a sluice (the huge piped version). But when one person mentioned "The C Word," I had to laugh about some of the pictures you MIGHT have taken. Yeah, I'm the wicked pastor's wife, what can I say? Peace, Amy

Great pictures to look at, they are so realistic they generate that little bit of gut felt fear when I think about going into one...
you will make a good engineering friend of my husband, he is always talking about culverts.
those are great culvert shots. i particularly love the second one :)
i love the second culvert shot also. thanks for visiting my site. the kids are doing great now. :)
